BDR Pharmaceuticals announced the launch of a generic version of Lenvatinib drug in India that helps with the treatment of various types of cancer.
This drug has been named ‘Bdfoie’ and is available in 4mg and 10mg doses.
Lenvatinib is a molecule that is used to provide therapy treatment to cancer patients by blocking the action of an abnormal protein which signals the growth of cancer cells stopping the spread of cancer cells.
BDR Pharma notifies in a statement that this medicine is used to treat different types of cancers like certain types of thyroid cancer, and advanced kidney and liver cancer.
Moreover, clinical trials have been carried out which show encouraging results in terms of the safety and efficiency of patients with aggressive tumors.
BDR Pharma said that the launch of the Bdfoie Lenvatinib generic drug is a huge step forward for providing breakthrough treatment at affordable prices, which reduces the whole average cost of the treatment drastically.
The Bdfoie Indian Lenvatinib drug comes in a pack of 10 capsules which costs Rs 1,620 for the 4mg dose and Rs 2,970 for the 10mg dose.
Lenvatinib is a class of medication called the Kinase Inhibitors and is used for fighting multiple types of cancers which are :-
HCC or Hepatocellular Carcinoma – used as a first line medication for the treatment of patients who suffer from unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma.
DTC or Differentiated Thyroid Cancer – patients who have progressive, locally recurrent and radioactive iodine-refractory differentiated thyroid cancer are treated by this drug which is used as a single agent.
RCC or Renal Cell Cancer – Patients with advanced RCC are treated with this drug combined with Everolimus. This is done by following one prior anti-angiogenic therapy.
Bdfoie (Lenvatinib generic) Dose
Bdfoie Lenvatinib is available as an oral capsule which can be taken with or without food. It should be taken at the same time every day. You should take lenvatinib exactly as it had been directed to you and should ask your doctor anything you don’t understand. Read the prescription label properly as well.
Common side effects of Bdfoie Lenvatinib
They include joint and muscle pain, tiredness, weight loss, decreased appetite, nausea, headache, mouth sores, rash, vomiting, redness, or peeling of the skin on your hands and feet, itching, stomach pain, and hoarseness.
